ABOUT OUR CLUB
The Polish Tatra Working Dog Association (PTWDA) is designed as a forum for
Polish Tatra Sheepdog owners to share ideas and experiences.  We will be a
source of communication and education about the Polish Tatra and their specific
intent as a livestock guardian dog.  This ancient breed needs the dedication and
knowledge of our members as the future is challenged by ever-changing
lifestyles and mind sets, a natural progression in today’s society.  Our cultural
connection to the Polish Highlanders will be encouraged and expanded as we
live in the present but look to their past heritage for guidance and preservation.
Through mutual collaboration, we can maintain the Polish Tatra Sheepdog as a
working tool in the life of a rancher, farmer and guardian of the flock.  To this
end, we hope to find owners and concerned individuals willing to join us as we
venture forth with the expressed intent of promoting the Tatra and its livestock
guardian role.
